Repeat Prescriptions

pills1Your Doctor/Nurse will tell you if you may have a repeat prescription for your medical treatment.

Repeat prescriptions can be ordered by:

  1. Using the direct online method (you must first register with reception). Click link at the top of the page.
  2. Sending your request on the computer prescription counterfoil with a stamped, addressed envelope.
  3. Calling at the surgery and leaving the request in the box provided.

Please allow at least two working days for your prescription to be processed and signed before you collect it.

Do not allow your medicine to nearly run out before asking for more, as there may be a delay and you could be left without your medication.

Your repeat medication will be reviewed by the Doctor or Nurse at regular intervals, which normally means a consultation. Some Nurses are now able to prescribe after completing further training.

Requests for repeat prescriptions by telephone are generally refused unless there is an extreme emergency.
