Emergencies (Out Of Hours)
Emergency cover when we are closed is provided by Derbyshire Health United who can be contacted on 0844 412 2239 (this number is given out on the Surgery answer phone when we are closed).
This Practice is committed to offering 24-hour emergency cover via a co-operative of local Doctors who can be contacted by telephone.
If you merely need advice, phone NHS Direct (see below).In extreme emergencies dial 999 for an ambulance.
If you are unsure, please telephone 0844 477 0920 and listen carefully to the recorded message.

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call
NHS Direct (0845 4647) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
